What I love about it is that it allows you to create designs fast and in chunks. Especially useful in stakeholder workshops where you want to whip something together quickly. Nice! The tool is divided up into the following design areas:-

• containers (browser window, accordian, messagebox, etc)
• navigation (breadcrumbs, date-picker, toolbar, tab bar, pagination, etc)
• text (H1, H2, H3, Lorem Ipsum blob, table, tooltip, etc)
• graphics (buynow-discount-new stamps, ajax indicator, pie-gauge-linecharts etc)
• icons (86 different ones)
• markup (scribble, neon marker, sketchy shapes, sticky notes, etc)
• search function and the ability to add custom shapes

Like all mind maps, FreeMind gives you the flexibility to organize thoughts on a page as they connect to each other and to the larger picture. This is my tool of choice for product modelling. Nice and simple. Ins and Del will add and remove nodes. Use your arrow keys in association with the ctrl and shift keys to move things around or drag using your mouse. Enjoy.
